About Me

Let me take a moment to introduce myself…

My love for dance began at the age of ten after trying on a friend's pair of tap shoes. I trained at a local studio prior to becoming a four-time high school State champion; and as a senior co-captain, helped lead the team to the program’s first ever UDA National Championship for Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. My college experience includes dancing with the University of Louisville Ladybirds, University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, National Champion Minnesota State University-Mankato Mavericks; as well as, the MSU-Mankato University Repertory Dance Company. I’ve had the opportunity to study ballet, modern and jazz in the California Bay Area and eventually became a Head Instructor and a High School and College Curriculum Choreographer with the National Dance Alliance (NDA) where I received individual awards in instruction and leadership.

As a choreographer, I have contributed my creative talents to college, high school and all-star teams; which have won multiple state and national championships as well as ranked in the top ten at the USASF Dance Worlds.  I have 27 years of adjudicating experience on the state, regional, and national level and I’m in the process of becoming a certified Safety & Legalities judge for the USASF. I have been asked to share my experiences, knowledge and love for the development of dancers by speaking and instructing at local conventions. Further, I have coached on the all-star and high school levels leading teams to State and National titles.

Currently, I am a member of the coaching staff at the four-time USASF World Champion, Champion Legacy Dance Academy in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  As the owner of Impact Dance Consulting LLC., I combine over three decades of dance experience with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Sociology to continue to share my coaching and judging expertise, passion for dance and desire to create a positive team culture for educators and students throughout the dance industry.

When not immersed in the dance world, I am a wife and a mom of two busy, active kids and one crazy pup. I collect quotes, I’m addicted to books and the Food Network, and I believe puns and “dad jokes” are comedic gold!
