About Me
My passion for dance began at the age of ten, sparked by the simple joy of trying on a friend’s tap shoes. I soon began formal training at a local studio and went on to become a four-time high school state champion. As a senior co-captain, I proudly helped lead Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota to its first-ever UDA National Championship.
My collegiate dance career includes performing with the University of Louisville Ladybirds, the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, and the Minnesota State University–Mankato Mavericks—where I earned a National Championship title and performed as a member of the University Repertory Dance Company.
During my college years, I expanded my training in ballet, modern, and jazz in California’s Bay Area before returning to my true passion—the dance team community. I went on to serve as a Head Instructor and High School and College Curriculum Choreographer with the National Dance Alliance (NDA), earning individual awards for instruction and leadership.
Over nearly 30 years as a choreographer (now retired), I had the privilege of creating routines for college, high school, and all-star teams that achieved multiple state and national titles and consistently placed among the top ten at the USASF Dance Worlds. In addition to choreography, I coached teams at both the all-star and high school levels, guiding them to success at the state, regional, national, and world levels.
Judging has been another cornerstone of my career—I began at just 17 and have continued for decades, evaluating performances across state, regional, national, and international stages. I also serve on the membership board of the National Dance Coaches Association (NDCA) as the Judges Credential Development Manager, helping to advance standards in dance adjudication.
As the owner of Impact Dance Consulting LLC, I combine over three decades of experience in the dance industry with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Sociology. Through this work, I strive to share my expertise in coaching and judging while fostering a positive, growth-oriented team culture for both educators and athletes.
Outside of dance, I am a proud wife and mother of two active children and two energetic pups. I’m an avid quote collector, book lover, and Food Network enthusiast—and I firmly believe that puns and “dad jokes” are comedic gold!
