LET’S GET OUT THOSE JOURNALS!

As dancers, we spend most of our training and competing hearing and thinking about what we need to improve upon.

Research suggest that our brains are wired to seek negativity, what many psychologists call negativity bias. It’s been found that 80% of our thoughts are negative and 95% of those thoughts are on replay over and over in our minds. That is why we need to make a conscious effort to remind ourselves of our greatness as people and dancers.

Yes, we all have things we need to work on, BUT there are also MANY things we do well. We have skills in dance and as teammates that we ROCK at!

SO, this month, take time to celebrate the positive! Take this moment to write down 5 things you are great at.

The things we are great at are just as important to who we are as a dancer/teammate, as who we are working to become!
