Let’s get out those journals!
For some, the new dance season has started. For others, that start date is just around the corner. Today, take a moment to do an emotional self-check on how prepared you feel for the season.
In your journals, answer the following questions:
· On a scale from 1-10, how prepared do I feel for starting the new season?
· I am excited about the following for new school year/ new dance season…
· What support, if any, do you feel like is missing?
Based on your written responses, create solutions, and a list of actions you can take to feel emotionally ready. Talk to your captains, teammates, coaches…anyone in your support system! We all have things that we get nervous about when facing what feels like “the unknown.” You do not have to face them alone. Go into the season with a plan of action to give yourself the support, mentally, physically, and emotionally, that you need!
